THE 63RD ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Hornby Island Co-operative Association will be held at NEW HORIZONS (1765 Sollans Rd, Hornby Island, BC) on Sunday, May 27th, 2018.
The Business Meeting will include the auditor’s report and financial statements for 2017, approval of the patronage refund, reports from the Team Manager and Board President, special resolutions proposed to amend the Co-op’s bylaws, and the election of board directors.
This year, there are 3 positions up for election on the board. Nomination forms are available here on our website, at Customer Service, or email firstname.lastname@example.org to have one sent to you. Nominations will also be taken from the floor.
Who is Eligible to Vote?
Members in good standing as of April 27th, 2018. Remember, one vote per member, and only the person whose name is on the registered membership may vote. Non-members are welcome but may not vote, move, or speak to resolutions.
The board began a two-year bylaw review in 2016 and has been engaged in a comprehensive review process to address both substantive bylaw subject matter areas and more routine amendments. The proposed changes will be proposed as special resolutions at the 2018 Annual General Meeting. Read the full text of the Proposed Bylaw Amendments.
